2009 SB20: These 20 Companies Are Sustainability Leaders
Yesterday, SustainableBusiness.com released its 2009 list of the world’s top sustainable stocks. The eighth annual Sustainable Business 20 (SB20) List consists of 20 public companies that have emerged over the past year as sustainability leaders, based on the critique of a panel of green stock analysts. All 20 of these companies have made significant progress in either greening their internal operations or growing a business based on green technology. It’s also worth noting that these companies achieved this progress during the recession, and that more than one-third of the 20 are listed as “corporate pioneers” –companies with conventional products and services that are greening their product lines.
